While emus are native to Australia, they thrive in Vermont. Vermont Prime Emu Producers, Inc. is a partnership of two Vermont Emu farms located in central and southern Vermont. Bud and Bunny Scott along with Larry Scott and Peggy Hewes own and operate Riverside Emus in Newbury and Peter and Ann Breen at Neshobe Farms in Brandon.
Thanks to these folks, here’s an all-natural pain relief made with pure Emu oil, arnica oil, capsicum and essential oils of rosemary and peppermint. Arnica is used to treat bruises and muscular pain. Essential oils of rosemary and peppermint are natural anti-inflammatories. Capsicum works by first stimulating and then decreasing the intensity of pain signals in the body. Emu oil is a transdermal oil and will carry the arnica, capsicum and essential oils analgesic properties deep into the skin.
Why emu oil?
Research shows that emu oil contains fatty acids that reduce pain and swelling. Applied to the skin, it also has moisturizing properties that resemble mineral oil. It offers up relief from sore muscles and improves healing of wounds, cuts, and burns.
It’s commonly used topically for athlete’s foot, diaper rash, canker sores, wrinkles, and age spots. It is also used to protect skin from sun damage and helps to promote younger-looking skin.
It's an all-natural and Vermont-made solution!
